Vithal Pai is the founder of XACT Technologies, Inc.  His education includes BS and MS in Chemical Engineering from I.I.T. in Bombay, India, and a MBA degree from West Texas A&M University.  He is currently completing an MS in Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University.

Vithal has over 26 years of petroleum industry experience, during which time he has worked in several positions starting from an Engineering Trainee to Regional Technical Manager with The Western Company of North America and BJ Services.  Vithal resigned from BJ Services to form XACT Technologies, Inc. in 1995.  In his present job, he is involved in design and execution of advanced Cement and Stimulation Systems and operations.  Additionally, he is very active and focused in the design, implementation and cost containment of Horizontal Completion Practices in the Permian Basin and Southeast New Mexico.

He is a member of the SPE-AIME and has presented several papers in the area of completions technology.  He is active in the Permian Basin Region SPE, Southwestern Petroleum Short Course and Permian Basin Oil and Gas Recovery Conference.  He serves on the board of the SPE Business Group.

Mike is a Project Consulting Engineer and Manager of Field Operations at XACT Technologies, Inc.  He holds a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University and Oklahoma State University, respectively.  Mike is a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Texas and is a member of the SPE-AIME.

Mike has over thirty years of hands-on oil and gas experience and has worked both on offshore and onshore wells on domestic as well as foreign assignments.  He has worked for major and independent operators as well as drilling contractors.  He has worked onsite on drilling of UBD and Horizontal wells including deep drilling operations offshore Gulf of Mexico.  He has held positions ranging from roustabout, derrick-man, drilling superintendent to engineering manager.  He consults on a wide variety of drilling projects including drilling and completion studies, drilling well plans and prognosis, and drilling cost evaluations.  His duties in the past have also included engineering support with field testing of new drilling technology and quality control of drilling and completions in South and West Texas.

Angela Freeman is the Business Manager at XACT Technologies, Inc.  She has over sixteen years of oil and gas industry experience from majors and independent operators as well as service companies.  Angela has also worked in business management at FDIC.  Additionally, she has completed several industry schools including, Petroleum Industry Principles, Business, Practical Office Applications and Computer training.

When XACT Technologies was formed in 1995, Angela was the first person employed and worked from inception to build the company foundations.  At XACT Angela performs a variety of tasks including, accounting, budgeting, payroll management, banking and human resource planning and development.  She also supports marketing and client data base development.  Her work in business planning and office management promotes XACT Technologies rapid growth with internally generated funding.
